Penny Degenhardt
2013-January 27th 2023
Penny was found when she was somewhere between 6 to 8 weeks old, cold, sick, and covered in fleas, beside the road. She had a fun sweet personality from the start. Never held a grudge about her rough start in life but truly appreciated her home and family so very much. Her best friend was her beloved Leonard, who had an equally hard start in life. Together they terrorized our home with their big personalities and need for speed. They were 100 mph from morning till night. Penny was my husband's sidekick on projects in the yard and garage. She designated herself the protector of the chickens and hater of all German Shepherds as they upset her chickens. She rid all of Winnebago county of moles and entertained the local field mice, keeping them well fed with the dry cat food she hated and refused to eat. She always greeted us at the door with her quiet little meow and a big stretch up our legs. Her quiet presence has left a big void in our home and she will be greatly missed.

Jax, age 11 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 22nd, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. I loved to watch Jax run laps around the yard almost habitually. I'm truly going to miss morning in bed snuggled up while I drank my coffee, us sitting together by the fire and my favorite, watching him play with other dogs. Jax really loved sitting in his chair he had outside and no matter where I went, he had to follow me. Jax hated to be alone and if he didn't have to be, he wasn't. He was such a big lover to everyone he ever came in contact with. He will be truly missed. Until we meet again on The Rainbow Bridge.

Beans, age 8 weeks old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 21st, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. She was the spunkiest little girl and always so happy. She was born right before thanksgiving, and I was so thankful for her. She had the loudest little bark for how tiny she really was. She is survived by her mother and father but is running happily across the flower fields at the Rainbow Bridge with her grandparents. She is very deeply missed, nonetheless.

Max, age 13 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 8th, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. Max was always a good big brother to his paw siblings. He loved to steal food and run away with it so that nobody could get it from him. He will be truly missed at home.
