Gizmo Stovall

Gizmo, age 14, passed away on September 10, 2023.

Gizmo Bear Stovall

Rottweiler Mastiff mix

Born Approximately May 16th, 2009. Previous name was Boe. Survived by human parents Brent and Merritta Stovall, human brother Joseph Stovall (Jen Brenner), and human sister Brennitta Stovall (Ken Fry). Human niece MaKayla Vaughn, and human nephews Jeremiah and Elijah Vaughn, as well as his doggy brother Shadow.

He was found on Craigs list. We picked him up from his previous owners on July 25,2009, and it was love at first sight! He stole our hearts immediately. He was many times more worth the money we spent on him. He was the easiest dog his mommy ever trained. He loved to play frizzbee and soccer in the back yard! He was a very agile dog too. He loved to jump fences and run after people and make them get on the top of our car. No one was ever hurt though. The fence we had was only 4 Ft. tall and he could jump that with ease. So, we put up a 6 ft fence, and guess what, he could still jump over that one too! We watched him a few times to see how he did it, and to our amazement he was using the cross boards on the fence to boost himself over. Our next move was to double side the fence, and finally we were able to keep him in his yard.

He also had a softer side to him, he loved to cuddle with us when no one else was around. He would follow Mommy everywhere around the house when she was cleaning. He didn't want to leave Mommy's side. Sometimes he got a little grumpy, but he was the sweetest dog ever, he just liked his peace and quiet without a lot of motion going on!

He loved to go on long walks with his brother on the hiking trails and swim in the river. He also like to go visit his brother in his room in the basement and lay on his bed.

His sister would watch him and his doggy brother when mom and dad would go on short trips. Sometimes mommy felt like he liked his sister's boyfriend better than her. The two were very close buddies!

He was also like a babysitter to his niece and nephews. Every time they were getting a little rough or doing something they shouldn't he would bark at them. Like he was telling them to stop! Even when the adults would try to exercise, he would start barking, like he wanted us to stop because he thought we were going to hurt ourselves. He was just a very special and unique dog!

He will definitely be missed by all of his family. We love you so much Gizmo!

Jax, age 11 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 22nd, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. I loved to watch Jax run laps around the yard almost habitually. I'm truly going to miss morning in bed snuggled up while I drank my coffee, us sitting together by the fire and my favorite, watching him play with other dogs. Jax really loved sitting in his chair he had outside and no matter where I went, he had to follow me. Jax hated to be alone and if he didn't have to be, he wasn't. He was such a big lover to everyone he ever came in contact with. He will be truly missed. Until we meet again on The Rainbow Bridge.

Beans, age 8 weeks old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 21st, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. She was the spunkiest little girl and always so happy. She was born right before thanksgiving, and I was so thankful for her. She had the loudest little bark for how tiny she really was. She is survived by her mother and father but is running happily across the flower fields at the Rainbow Bridge with her grandparents. She is very deeply missed, nonetheless.
